Located in the interior of Guyana, Kaieteur National Park spans a rugged and remote landscape characterized by its rich biodiversity and dramatic topography. The park's centerpiece, Kaieteur Falls, plunges 741 feet, making it one of the tallest single-drop waterfalls globally. This remote park is a haven for unique wildlife, including the rare golden frog and the iconic Guiana Cock-of-the-rock. Established in 1929, it is Guyana's oldest national park and covers roughly 242 square miles. Visitors are drawn by the park's spectacular vistas, pristine rainforests, and its varied ecosystems that host a multitude of flora and fauna found nowhere else in the world.
